Back to School Sanity Tips for Parents
If you're feeling scattered in 20 different directions this Sept. with the kids back in school and all the extra sporting activities they may be involved in, then perhaps it's time to take a look at planning ahead for a calm and peaceful home.
1) Pre-plan meals at least 2 days in advance and just add a fresh salad or raw cut up veggies.
2) Take vitamins at breakfast (a clinically researched organic Multi for a smorgasbord of nutrients, B-Complex for stress, energy and to absorb the nutrients from your food, Vitamin C for a strong immune system, and Acidophilus for good friendly bacteria to the gut and bowels). Soy Protein powder added to a smoothie with fresh fruit and yogurt offers a nutritious and vitamin powered breakfast on the run.
3) Exercise daily early in the day (if you don't take time for you, no one else will give it to you). Your day is yours, you are in control, take charge and do what is important for your body's health and spirit.
4) Spend quiet time each day for a minimum of 15 minutes, some suggestions are; yoga stretches, meditation, your favourite TV show (not the news), a hobby, or time to really communicate without cell phones and email with a spouse, partner or child.
